Thanks to this unique, patented solution, the hatchback can be opened in two different ways. Users can either just open the boot lid or the entire rear boot including the rear window. From 1934 to 1949, a luxury passenger car called the Superb ran off the line in Mladá Superb enabled Škoda to immediately and successfully launch its brand in the upper middle class vehicle segment. Škoda's top-of-the-line model is a synonym for Czech quality on the world markets. From the very beginning, the car has set standards with regard to space and comfort. The Superb has been winning over customers in Europe as well as in China, Russia and India. To date Škoda has sold around 557,000 units of its top-selling model worldwide, delivering approximately 109,100 Superbs in 2012, around 40 per cent of which to customers in the first Superb generation had the character of a classic limousine, the second generation that was launched in 2008 stands out from the rest with its new, variable solutions. The motto is "everything new" - the radiator grille, the front headlights and fog lights, the bumper, the front fender, the bonnet and the car logo. The meter wide Superb looks very fresh from the front and yet representative of the brand at the same time. "The car has gained new momentum again," states Škoda design chief Jozef Kabaň. "The car's strengths have never been conveyed this well before visually."The car's modern appearance exudes calm and natural authority. The front end's horizontal lines emphasises this and come across as being very clear and clean. The centre of the front end is dominated by the broad and upright radiator grille, surrounded by a chrome frame and 21 vertical slats that are typical of the brand. The finely moulded radiator slats are chrome plated, which emphasises the car's new Škoda logo is no longer integrated in the grille, but rather (in keeping with the brand's new design line) embossed in the centre of the car's bonnet. The designers refer to this as the front end's "premium area". The new logo is also the starting point for the precisely shaped lines of the new bonnet. Designed larger than before, they are connected with a thin chrome clasp in both the 'Ambition' and 'Elegance' lines. The visible interaction of the fundamentally revised Superb's headlights and fog lights are reminiscent of a cloverleaf - a key feature of the new Škoda design and elegant side viewThe Superb limousine and Combi are familiarly expressive in their side view. A long, drawn out roofline gives both these meter cars a touch of dynamic elegance. The limousine's window line gently slopes downward from the A-pillars across the wide Cpillars and transitions into the fifth door, harmoniously concluding at the rear end. In the Superb Combi, the transition flows smoothly into the models' side graphic is enhanced by a striking shoulder line, which starts at the front headlights and elegantly extends along the vehicle to the rear lights that run to the sides. The longer wheelbase of meters emphasises the Superb's powerful proportions as well. The chrome strips around the front and back side windows highlight the vehicle's timeless Superb's range of wheels has also been revised. New 16 to 18-inch alloy wheels are now available with the limousine and Combi with an all-new rear endJust the front end, the Škoda Superb's rear end has also been completely redesigned, for both the Superb limousine and the Combi, consistently using elements of the new Škoda design philosophy: clear, clean and is emphasised by the rear light contour; the C-shaped lighting contour that is characteristic of Škoda is brighter and clearer than ever before. This original and patented Škoda design makes the Superb unique and combines the advantages of two vehicle types. On the one hand, the Superb represents the classic and elegant limousine with a comfortable passenger area that is completely separate from the luggage space. While on the other hand, the Superb is an extremely practical hatchback with a large fifth door that ensures a high standard of functionality and easy loading and technology is now even easier to control. There is a button under the boot hatch for each door position. If you want to open the boot lid, simply press the middle button. Press the right button to open the entire boot hatch. Up to now, the door has been controlled by pressing a single rear bumper of the Superb limousine has also been revised, making the vehicle also appear more superior from the rear, despite its meter width remaining the same. This effect is aided at night by two new reflective light strips on the right and left of the rear bumper (also available in the Combi). The limousine's license plate frame is now positioned in the centre of the boot hatch, instead of its former location on the bottom bumper. The license plate on the Superb Combi is still in the middle of the boot hatch below the new Škoda models feature redesigned model and brand designations on the rear end. The left side of the boot shows the Škoda company name, while the right side bears the Superb model designation. The GreenLine or 4×4 models also feature an additional the third model after the Rapid and Octavia, the Škoda Superb also has two cubist triangles on the left and right sides of the boot lid. The limousine features them over the rear lights, and they are embossed in the sheet metal of the Combi. This is true more than ever of the fundamentally revised Superb. The new edition of the Škoda flagship model confirms the outstanding capacity and shows off optical freshness in the interior, not to mention new features increasing the vehicle's travel comfort. The Škoda Superb is a truly comfortable large-capacity car, perfect for families or Superb has always been an extremely appealing vehicle in the upper middle class. Škoda's top model turned the world of mid-sized range vehicles on its head when it premiered in 2001. Interior space is extremely generous and offers roominess normally only available in higher range vehicles. Clever use of interior space creates unusually generous room for occupants. "The space sets the tone in the Superb," says Škoda design chief Jozef Kabaň. "It is our job to celebrate this demand with good design." The Superb meets the highest of customer demands with regard to comfort. The Škoda Superb offers comfort that exceeds the offerings of most middle class vehicles and always offers 'a bit more car'.A space marvel in every respectIn addition to many other good features, the Škoda Superb's greatest asset is the huge amount of available space. The brand's fundamentally revised flagship model is and remains a true space giant, with lots of room for occupants and baggage. Both the Superb limousine and the Superb Combi offer the largest luggage compartment and most leg room for rear passengers in the upper mid-range segment. This unusually spaciousness is made possible thanks to the clever use of interior space, among other things. Since the engine and transmission are mounted transversally, engineers were able to make the centre tunnel very sitting in the rear of the Superb have more room available than in any other vehicle of this class. An impressive 157 millimetres of rear legroom in the limousine as well as in the Combi means leg room completely eclipsing all of the car's direct competitors. One small but important detail shows how spacious the vehicle is - the floor mats in the back are just as long as the ones in the boot features true loadmaster qualities, with a basic volume in the limousine of 595 litres, and 633 litres in the Superb Combi. Both are records figures in the segment. The Combi's rear seats can be folded down completely, which is standard for all versions, and the limousine's rear seats can also be folded down. This increases the loading volume of the limousine to 1,700 litres and the Combi to 1,865 new function makes riding in the back even more comfortable. For the first time ever passengers in the rear seats can adjust the passenger seat from the back. The electrical control is located on the side of the passenger seat near the centre console and is thus easy to operate from the back. Passengers in the rear can move the seat forward and back and adjust the seat height and angle. This is very practical and increases the space for the passengers behind the front passenger seat if necessary. One additional feature hidden in the left rear side door can normally only be found in models of the luxury performance class; the Superb provides an umbrella for the driver or down the armrest in the rear seats creates a practical solution for transporting longer objects, such as skis. The specially designed Unibag removable sack is suitable for skis or a snowboard. The controls for the long-cargo channel are located on both sides of the armrest so that the channel can be opened from the luggage space as well as from the passenger compartment. The rear seats are split at a ratio of 60:40, which allows variable uses of the passenger interior spaceThe Škoda Superb features four equipment lines: 'Active', 'Ambition', 'Elegance' and 'Laurin & Klement'. The interior of the Superb 'Laurin & Klement' is especially refined, with the interior of the top model now also available for the first time in the exclusive 'Brown/Ivory' colour combination. Thereby the leather seat covers, the bottom of the dashboard and the door panels are ivory, and the top of the dashboard and leather steering wheel are key feature of the Škoda Superb is maximum comfort for the driver and passengers. This is achieved with selected materials, precise manufacturing quality, harmonious shapes and, above all, the vehicle's extraordinary spaciousness. In keeping with this, designers have made the interior even fresher than of all, by using new steering wheels, seat materials and decorative trims. The Superb features new 3 and 4-spoke steering wheels. The height and tilt of all of the steering wheels can be adjusted, and the new Škoda logo is embossed in the centre. Depending on the equipment line, customers can choose from a variety of features (3 or 4-spokes, with or without multi-function display/phone/audio buttons), materials (PUR or leather) and colours (black or brown). The seat cover choices have also been expanded; some of the new interior choices include 'Ray' (Active), 'Rubicon' (Ambition) and 'Felicity' (Elegance). The Superb now offers a total of eleven seat cover decorative trims on the dashboard and door panels have also been completely revised. The 'Active', 'Ambition' and 'Elegance' equipment levels have newly designed decorative elements and are now even more individualised. They emphasise the highquality character of the respective trim levels. The new décors include Grey metallic for 'Active', Aluminium for 'Ambition' and Wood for 'Elegance'.The dashboard is made using a high-quality soft material. Precise workmanship emphasises the perceived high quality of the interior space. There are several dashboard combinations available: satin black/satin black, satin black/lava grey, satin black/ivory, native brown/ivory and native brown/satin black (exclusively for the Superb L&K).Numerous comfort featuresThe arrangement of the control elements on the dashboard is clear tidy and in accordance with the latest ergonomic findings. Users can quickly find everything they need, and driving the car is very intuitive. The dashboard's control elements are positioned in a classic manner. The instrument cluster is located behind the steering wheel, and you can choose from the multi-function display (on-board computer) or Maxi DOT display. The radio and/or navigation system are centrally located in the middle of the dashboard console. The control unit for the heating and air condition system is directly the first time ever, the limousine and the Combi will feature the most recent version of the Automatic Parking Assistant. In addition to entering and exiting parking spots parallel to the traffic lane, it now supports entering parking spots backwards perpendicular to the traffic lane. The driver activates the system with the push of a button at speeds up to 40 km/h and then sets his turning signal depending on which side of the street he intends to park on. The system uses ultrasound sensors to detect available parking spaces. It then measures the space and determines the starting point for the parking manoeuvre, which it then performs automatically once the driver has put the car in reverse and presses the accelerator. The system will become active if it determines the parking space to be sufficient in size, which means at least 30 cm clearance needs to be available both in front and at the rear. Accelerating and braking is left to the driver, with the system handling all other tasks comprising the parking manoeuvre including steering the car along an ideal trajectory. The Automatic Parking Assistant handles all other tasks comprising the parking manoeuvre including steering the car along an ideal trajectory. If the driver accelerates to more than 7 km/h as the car enters the parking spot, or if the car encounters an obstacle, the systems stops the car via the emergency braking to the modern hands-free units, making phone calls while driving in the Škoda Superb is very convenient. The solar sunroof can be tilted and slid like a conventional sunroof. Škoda's unique patented Twindoor is now even easier to operate than before: Each opening type is operated via its own button. Users no longer need to use the shift key and boot: spacious and practicalIt's easy to load the Superb's boot. The semi-automatic luggage compartment cover will then automatically open to the middle position, depending on its setting. This cover can be rolled up completely and Combi also includes an LED lamp that can be removed and used outside of the vehicle. Sitting on a mounting bracket the light charges automatically, while the engine is running. Two additional spotlights on the inside of the wagon's tailgate illuminate both the trunk space and the ground behind the vehicle. Needless to say, there is a 12 V outlet on the right-hand side of the luggage special feature for the Superb is a removable ski bag (Unibag) to safely transport skis. Safely stored inside the bag, the skis can be pushed through the opening in the luggage compartment after folding down the centre armrest between the rear solutions for the interiorPractical solutions are everywhere in the Škoda Superb, including in the car's interior. The vehicle is equipped with shelves, compartments, and hooks for all daily umbrella compartment in the left back door is particularly clever, a feature available only in top-end luxury vehicles. The water-resistant compartment is located in the door's interior covering and is invisible when the door is closed, meaning it will not get in the way of the passenger on the left rear seat. The compartment lets the water from the umbrella drain to the outside, making it practical to store even a wet Škoda Superb has a number of stowage options in the front: In addition to a large glove compartment and roomy compartments inside the front doors, the jumbo-sized box under the armrest in the centre console is particularly noticeable. An additional compartment with a lid is located under the passenger seat. Small items can be stowed in the centre console compartment and in the foldout storage space to the left under the steering wheel. Drinks can be stowed in a drink holder in the centre console. And even sunglasses are easy to find in the convenient sunglass compartment under the roof, above the rear-view mirror. Another practical feature is the ticket clip on the inside of the left A column (on the driver's side).Passengers in the rear can expect just as much convenience. They can stow their items in seat pockets behind the backrests of the front seats. The rear of the jumbo-sized box in the centre console has a lockable compartment. When the back centre armrest is folded down, a built-in compartment can be used. This compartment also includes two cup holders (in the Elegance version). And, of course, even the back doors can hold items in their large Superb: five stars for safetyIn terms of safety, the Škoda Superb puts its best foot forward. Its high level of safety earned Škoda'S top-of-the-line model a perfect score of five stars in the Euro NCAP crash test in 2009. Features such as ESC, ABS and the braking assistant increase the car's safety, to which are now added innovative safety systems such as AFS and the Driver Activity Assistant. Up to nine airbags protect occupants in case of an accident. Use of high-strength steel increases the body's rigidity, providing optimum occupant protection. In addition, a balanced setup of the chassis supports the Superb's stable Škoda Superb cuts no corners when it comes to active safety. This flagship of the brand offers the highest standard and features modern assistance systems and innovative lighting range of electronic protection systems contributes to active safety in the Škoda Superb. The following are standard in EU countries: ESC electronic stability control including DSR Driver Steering Recommendation, anti-lock braking system (ABS), enginebraking control (MSR), traction control (ASR), electronic differential lock (EDL) and Hydraulic Braking Assistant (HBA).Electronic Stability Control (ESC) will recognise critical driving situations such as risk of skidding, specifically intervening to prevent the car from swerving. Sensors feed the system with information regarding driving and steering behaviour, which a control unit then uses to determine intended steering direction and intended driving behaviour, actuating brake impulses to prevent the car from becoming unstable in curves. ESC includes ABS, MSR, ASR, EDL and HBA functions as integral Hydraulic Braking Assistant (HBA) supports the driver in an emergency braking situation and can significantly shorten the car's stopping distance. Based on the speed with which the driver operates the brake pedal, the system will recognise whether the driver wishes to perform an emergency stop and will accordingly increase braking pressure automatically up to the ABS threshold as long as the driver maintains pressure on the brake pedal. As the driver releases the pedal, the system automatically and proportionally reduces the pressure until it equals the actuation Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) prevents the wheels from locking in an emergency braking situation or on slippery roads, thus preserving steerability of the vehicle. MSR engine-braking control works to prevent the driving wheels from locking because of the engine's braking force on slippery surfaces. ASR traction control permits harmonious driving-off and acceleration, without wheels spinning or the car shifting on surfaces with low grip. Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) makes for smooth and comfortable driving-off on surfaces with uneven Driver Activity Assistant (fatigue recognition), which is optionally available in the Superb, will warn a driver of impending fatigue. The system analyses steering behaviour and detects deviations from the norm. Significant deviation indicating declining concentration in the driver will trigger an optical signal in the combination instrument recommending a break: "Fatigue detected, please pause".Hill Hold Control will activate itself when starting up a slope (on a gradient of more than five per cent). The system permits comfortable starting up a hill even without use of the handbrake. If after stopping on a slope the driver takes his foot off the brake pedal, the assistant will maintain pressure in the braking system for another one to two seconds, reducing it depending on drive power feeding to the available for the Superb is electronic tyre pressure control. This system will inform the driver about possible loss of pressure in tyres during lighting in every situationVisibility of a vehicle plays a central role in traffic safety. In the Superb, the so-called Adaptive Frontlight System, AFS for short, ensures "see and be seen". In the new Superb, this intelligent bi-xenon headlight technology is now available including LED daytime running lights for the first time. This significantly increases visibility of the provides optimum lighting of the road and surroundings depending on driving and weather conditions. The headlight system will adapt lighting to different driving situations, varying the headlights' angle dynamically. Curve lights and turning lights (integrated into the fog lamps) complement the system. Intelligent aggregation of the functions considerably improves visibility at night, enabling the driver to recognise obstacles early and react operates in three modes: extraurban, urban and highway. The extraurban mode is active between 0 and 15 kph and between 50 and 90 kph. It is most reminiscent of normal low-beam light. In this mode, the right and the left headlight module assume their basic position. In urban mode (between 15 and 50 kph), the light cone is broader and shorter than in extraurban mode. This is because at lower speeds, optimum lighting of sidewalks and intersections matters more than a long forward range. In fast driving on highways by contrast, a long forward range and lighting of the right and left lanes matters more. In this mode, the left headlight module swivels upward and leftward, unlike in the basic mode, while the right module is simply turned upward. Highway mode activates from 90 kph and achieves maximum effect from 120 visibility from the rear is provided by the newly designed standard LED taillights. Their Škoda-typical C graphic stands out even more brilliant and clear in the Superb limousine and Combi. For the first time, three strips form the taillight shape, a clear mark of the Superb. In darkness, the Superb has become yet more visible thanks to two new reflecting lighting strips on the right and left side of the rear to nine airbags protect occupantsIn a collision, a finely orchestrated interplay of airbags and retention systems will protect occupants. The Škoda Superb comes with up to nine airbags, among them a knee airbag for the driver and rear side airbags. The front-passenger airbag can be deactivated when carrying a baby cot on the is achieved by a finely-tuned interworking of adjustable-height three-point seat belts at the front and three three-point safety belts at the rear. A signal tone will warn if belts are not fastened in front. The car's five headrests are individually adjustable in height. Safe transport of infants is guaranteed thanks to the option of fastening Isofix child seats firmly in apposite moorings. These include an additional top-side belt, the so-called "TopTether" body with high-strength steelThe Škoda Superb's stable body structure guarantees a high level of passive safety. The body was designed to include high-strength steel which offers added protection especially in the passenger cabin. The car's front and rear have been designed to absorb a maximum of kinetic energy in an accident. Special fastening of the engine prevents it from penetrating the passenger cabin on impact. Similarly, the steering column has been designed not to move toward the driver in a front-end Superb is also big on pedestrian protection. Special foam fillings in the bumper reduce the danger of leg injury. If a pedestrian collides with the car's bonnet in an accident, the bonnet will absorb most of the impact Superb: 19 per cent more efficientThe fundamentally revised Škoda Superb features drive trains that have become much more efficient, as evidenced in improved mileage and lower emissions. The manual transmission is also available with all-wheel drive for the first time. Until now, the all-wheel drive TDI/103 kW came exclusively with TDI/125 kW (170 HP) is the top diesel option for the Superb. Its maximum torque of 350 Nm is developed between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm. Transmission can be a six-speed manual or automatic DSG. Consumption in the TDI/125 kW with manual transmission and front-wheel drive is a mere litres, an improvement of 19 per cent. CO2 emissions are 120 g/km. For the first time, the Superb TDI/125 kW is now optionally available with an attractive combination of all-wheel drive and DSG automatic drive with advanced Haldex clutchAll-wheel drive in the Škoda Superb is based on a fourth-generation Haldex clutch. The Haldex clutch is an electronically actuated multidisc clutch. In normal driving situations, the car's drive goes mostly to the front axle, while the rear axle is uncoupled. The Haldex clutch, which operates via an electro-hydraulic oil pump, engages the rearaxle if this end, a control unit permanently computes optimum drive power for the rear axle. This is done by assessing various parameters such as engine torque, throttle position, wheel speed and steering angle. The vehicle's lateral and longitudinal acceleration data are also taken into account. The control unit then adjusts pressure to the clutch discs so as to apply drive power to the rear axle as determined based on the computed overall driving dynamics status. This generally prevents the wheels from spinning even during quick starts and rapid Superb L&K: exclusive and elegantExclusive equipment and the finest materials is what the Škoda Superb L&K stands for. › Anketa Firemní auto roku 2021 korunovala vítěze, mezi nimiž početně dominují automobily značky ŠKODA › Tradiční odbornou anketu fleetových manažerů doplnilo internetové hlasování, i v něm uspěly vozy ŠKODA › ŠKODA Fleetová centra vycházejí vstříc požadavkům firemních zákazníků, v Česku jich je 37Mladá Boleslav, 26. března 2021 – Vozy ŠKODA opět potvrdily svoji oblíbenost u českých flotilových zákazníků. Tuzemská automobilka ovládla specializovanou anketu Firemní auto roku, když uspěla hned v několika kategoriích. ŠKODA OCTAVIA je fleetovou novinkou roku, v hlasování manažerské poroty vyhrály své kategorie modely KAMIQ, SCALA, OCTAVIA COMBI a SUPERB iV, v internetovém hlasování pak uspěly vozy SCALA a SUPERB iV. V Plug-in Trophy si vítězství odnesla ŠKODA SUPERB iV a na 3. místě skončila ŠKODA OCTAVIA iV, v Cross Trophy získala 2. místo ŠKODA KAMIQ. Fleetová centra disponují rovněž certifikovanými klempírnami i lakovnami a sortimentem ŠKODA care produktů s velkoobchodními slevami.
